and the Word was with God: and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him: In Him was life: And the Light shineth in darkness: Gospel of St John, Ch 1:1-5 |

| Welcome to the Traditional Catholic Faith website. I created this site in response to the ever increasing attacks against the one, true Catholic faith from both those outside the Church and those within. The name of this website is to emphasize the fact that we have only ONE true Catholic Faith formed with over 2,000 years of tradition. There are those within the modern Catholic church who have become victims of the evils and errors of modernism, relativism, liberalism, and secularism -- just as our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI warned. Consequently, confusion and mis-information reigns. Against these attacks, a true Catholic must cry, "Enough is enough! This far and no more!" True Catholics must rally against the evil that has penetrated the Church, joining together in spiritual combat against Satan in order to reclaim for our Lord the glory that has been the Catholic Church for over 2,000 years. With this website, I hope to present information and resources on the one true, traditional and orthodox Catholic Faith as given to us from Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and defended by our Popes from St. Peter through Pope Benedict XVI. To be a Catholic requires acceptance in the teachings of Mother Church and respect for the magesterium of the Holy Father. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Please contact me at the email address below. Thank you for visiting and God bless you! |

| The two photos above
illustrate
perfectly the crisis in the Catholic Church today. Take a moment
to look at both photos. The activities in one of these photos is
heartily endorsed by the Diocese of Orlando, while the activities in
the
other photo are soundly renounced -- many even claim the participants
have
excommunicated themselves. Which one is which? The photo on
the left is a "Circus Mess" as "celebrated" recently at Holy
Name of Jesus parish in Indialantic, FL (note too the computer
screens
on the walls of the "gathering space" -- Mess via PowerPiont!).
The
photo on the right shows a recent Traditional Holy Mass as celebrated
by
priests of the Society of Saint Pius X at
St. Thomas More Chapel in Sanford, FL. Now, ask yourself which of
these is more solemn, showing a right reverence to God and recognition
of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for our sins? Now ask yourself a
second
question, why is it that a diocese allows and even promotes the type of
fiasco seen on the left but is adamantly opposed to the one on the
right?
Something is clearly very wrong. While to some the issue may seem
trivial, in reality the issue at stake is the souls of men.
Despite
what many would have you believe, an actual reading of the Gospels
clearly
shows Jesus warning us that the path to salvation is not easy and not
all
will be saved.
In such a crisis as this, what is one to do? How does one find solemnity and worshipfulness without going too far and suddenly finding one's self outside the Church? I don't think there are any easy answers. Many solid Catholics in search of the solemnity, respect and worshipfulness due our Lord find themselves drawn to what has become known as the Traditionalist Catholic movement. Unfortunately, these good people are endangering themselves as well, since, at the least, many Traditionalist movements reject Vatican II and some go so far as to claim that since Vatican II, the popes have been in heresy and therefore are not true popes. These positions are just as dangerous as those who mock the Church with farces such as the "Circus Mess." To be a Catholic means to accept the work of the Holy Spirit and believe that our Lord would never leave the Church without a head. Therefore, a Catholic MUST accept the work of the Holy Spirit in the selection of every pope from St. Peter through Pope Benedict XVI. With respect to the Second Vatican Council, a Catholic MUST also accept the work of the Holy Spirit in every Church council. One cannot say, "This council was inspired by the Holy Spirit, but this one was not so I do not have to follow its teachings." To do so makes one a "cafeteria" Catholic -- it doesn't matter if you're selecting what you will follow in order to be overly liberal or in order to be overly conservative. In either case, you are still rejecting Church teaching, tradition and the magesterium. As I said from the outset, there is only ONE true Catholic Faith. We must work from within the Church to bring our brothers and sisters back to the true path of salvation -- regardless if they have gone too far left or too far right. This is not going to be an easy battle. The forces of darkness are doing their best to shatter the Catholic Church. How else does one explain the divisiveness we see today? Divide and conquer -- an age old military strategy. Satan has a perfect battle plan. On one hand, he drives good people into acts such as the "Circus Mess" and away from the true Holy Sacrifice of Mass and right reverence to the Lord -- all the while convincing those people that what they're doing is "good." On the other side, he drives other good people in the opposite direction so that they too move outside the one, true Church -- also convincing them that what they are doing is "good." We are engaged in true spiritual combat against Satan and his forces. However, since we can see his battle plan, we are better equipped to defeat it. First, we must remain faithful that despite the great casualties we've suffered so far, the Church will prevail, for as Our Lord Jesus told Peter: "And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Rest well in the knowledge that good will ultimately prevail over evil. Second, we must deploy our greatest weapon: prayer. Especially powerful is our devotion to our Holy Mother Mary and the Rosary. Great saints have defeated Satan armed only with prayer and faith. It is said that when St. Padre Pio wanted his Rosary, he used to call out through the monastery, "Bring me my weapon!" Finally, we must not be afraid to speak out in defense of the true Church. We should not be afraid to speak out when we see something wrong, bearing in mind the admonishment, "hate the sin, but love the sinner." Do not let political correctness prevent you from helping your brothers and sisters achieve eternal salvation. Above all, remember: Surrender is not an option! Together we will win. God bless you! |

Prayer to St Michael Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our
protection
against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke
him,
we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the
power
of God, thrust down to hell Satan and all the evil spirits who roam
through
the world seeking the ruin of souls. |
